In the case of phones with a budget, every company tries to jump on the bandwagon and make the next big thing and Samsung has done nothing less. The On5 Pro hosts similar specifications compared to the G Play but with some minor changes here and there. For starters, it comes with Samsung’s own brand of processor the 1.3 GHz Exynos quad-core. The company claims that the Exynos series is 2X faster than any other brands out there. To complement the efficient processor 2GB RAM has also been added so no stuttering or lagging is encountered. The battery, however, is 2600 mAh which is a little shorter than Moto’s now model.
The specs under other departments don’t differ much as the On5 Pro also hosts an HD (720 x 1280) screen with 8MP rear and 5MP front cameras. However, Samsung has added its own camera software which comes pre-loaded with the phone. This software has some nifty features that might attract social media enthusiasts. These features include beauty face, continuous shot, panorama mode and much more.
For buyers who find Samsung’s name credible compared to others may very well go for the On5 Pro as it offers some serious competition to other phones in the market.
3- Redmi Note 4 (Black, 32 GB) (2 GB RAM) – Rs. 9,999
Mi has always been known for their power packed affordable phones and the Redmi Note 4 is their newest addition to a long line of smartphones. The one exceptional thing about Mi phones is the wide number of extended features one gets at such a low price and the Note 4 is a testament to that.
The phone comes with hardware that is not normally found with such a price tag. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with 64-bit architecture processor is their crown jewel in this case as it offers performance beyond the normal garden variety we see everyday. 4- Lenovo K6 Power (Gold, 32 GB) (3 GB RAM) – Rs. 9,999
Cutting very close to the Note 4 we have the Lenovo K6 Power which offers some serious competition in the market. The phone comes armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor which is not the best in its line but that drawback is countered by the extra 1 gig of Ram the phone has. All in total the K6 has a Ram of 3GB which is more than enough in almost any scenario. Like Mi, Lenovo has also offered the phone with storage capacities ranging from 32GB to 128Gb (Micro Sd Card).
The K6 also comes with a 4000 mAh Li-Polymer battery which is a little smaller than the Note 4 but not enough to make a dent in its reputation. Other features like the camera and the Full HD display remain exactly the same except the size which is .5 inches shorter.
All aspects considered this again boils down to whether a customer will prefer Mi or Lenovo as phones from both the companies, in this case, are almost identical.
5- Coolpad Note 5 (32 GB) – Rs. 10,999
Although the price of this phone goes overboard by 1,000, it sure is worth a mention considering the features it has to offer. They might not be as flashy as Moto or Mi but are worth noting. The Coolpad Note 5 has a 1.5 GHz, Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB with a Sd Card. What makes this phone different is the massive amount of RAM that has been packed into it. Priced at just 10,999 the phone has more processing power than most models out there, in and out of this range.
That combined with Coolpad’s own custom CoolUi and their 5.5 Inch IPS Full HD display with 4010 mAh battery, the experience of this phone is something that will surely delight people. The front camera in the Note 5 has also been upgraded from 5MP to 8MP which will serve to provide better quality photos and videos.
Shelling out an extra thousand shouldn’t be a problem to the mobile enthusiasts who appreciate innovation and on the off chance it does bother them, all the smartphones mentioned above are as good in life as they are on paper and as affordable too.
